An annual goal planner that survives past January
Goalzly turns one yearly goal into twelve monthly targets and a daily plan — so the ambition you write down in January still has something to do with your Tuesday morning in October.

Most yearly plans fail for a boring reason: the year is simply too big a unit to act on.
“Get fit”, “launch the business”, “learn Dutch” — a year-sized goal gives you nothing to do today, so today fills itself with other things. By February the plan lives in a notebook you no longer open. The problem was never motivation; it was the missing bridge between the year and the day.
Goalzly is that bridge. Your yearly goal becomes a monthly target — one meaningful, month-sized outcome — and each monthly target becomes small daily tasks. A progress ring shows where you stand against the pace of the year, and your Daily Pace setting decides how hard the app should push. Planning happens once; execution happens every day.
From year to month to day
The planning structure Goalzly builds around your goal.
One goal for the year
Not ten resolutions — one sentence that matters. Everything in the app hangs off it, which is exactly why it works.
Twelve monthly targets
Each month gets its own concrete outcome. Finish one and the next is waiting — the year stops being an abstraction and becomes a sequence of finishable months.
Daily tasks sized for real days
Tasks small enough to complete on an ordinary weekday. Close them all and the day counts — toward the month, and the month toward the year.
Pace tracking
Your goal card compares your progress to the calendar: you at 38%, the year at 50%. You always know if you’re ahead, behind, or on track — months before it’s too late to adjust.
Your year at a glance
A heatmap of closed days shows the whole year filling in, one dot at a time. Progress you can actually see beats progress you have to trust.
Reviews that reset the plan
Weekly reviews (and Week Wrapped) close each week deliberately and set the next one’s intention, so the plan self-corrects instead of drifting.
A year, planned in Goalzly
How a single yearly goal unfolds across twelve months.
January: set the year
Write the goal, pick your Daily Pace, and let Goalzly lay out the first monthly target. Onboarding takes about a minute — you close your first task on day one.
June: mid-year checkpoint
The pace bars tell you the truth: ahead, behind, or on track. Adjust the coming monthly targets while half the year is still in front of you.
December: close the year
A year of closed days, reviews, and a finished goal — or an honest picture of how far you got and what to carry into next year.
Annual planning questions, answered
How does Goalzly break a yearly goal into monthly targets?
You set the yearly goal; Goalzly structures the year into monthly targets — one concrete outcome per month — and daily tasks under each target. You stay in control and can edit targets and tasks at any time.
Can I use Goalzly if I start mid-year?
Yes. A yearly goal doesn’t need to start in January — the pace tracking simply compares your progress against the time remaining, whenever you begin.
What if my goal changes during the year?
Edit it. Goals, monthly targets, and tasks are all adjustable — the structure is there to serve the goal, not to lock you in.
Is Goalzly a planner or a tracker?
Both, deliberately: the planner is the year-to-month-to-day structure; the tracker is the daily loop of closing tasks, growing a streak, and watching your Day Balance. Planning without tracking drifts, and tracking without planning wanders.
Does the annual planner work on Apple Watch?
The Apple Watch app focuses on the daily side — your tasks and Focus Timer sessions on your wrist — while the year and month views live on iPhone.
